【明報專訊】Just in a week, Financial Secretary John Tsang Chun-wah (財政司長曾俊華), who once insisted tax rebates would fuel inflation and his Budget proposals could hardly be changed, made an astonishing U-turn. He has announced the government will give $6,000 to every one of the six million permanent Hong Kong citizens above 18. He has also announced every taxpayer will get a 75% or $6,000 tax rebate, whichever is the lower.
