【明報專訊】When describing something such as a scene or a person, it is important to ask yourself the question: "Why am I describing this?" Sometimes we want to use descriptions to help tell a story, sometimes to persuade the readers to do something or to explain a situation. In all of these cases, we want the readers to feel that they are actually inside the description themselves. This will evoke (引起) an emotional response and increase the impact of our story, persuasion or explanation.
