【明報專訊】TWO years ago a 5th alarm fire at Cornwall Court (Mong Kok) killed two firemen and two women that lived there. The Coroner's Court gave a verdict of accidental death. Unless there are human factors, it is reasonable to rule that people killed in a fire have died of an accident. However, as it emerged at the inquest, inadequate equipment was directly to do with the two firemen's death. The court heard the radio communication system did not work well and the capacity of firemen's oxygen tanks was not sufficiently high. These problems did not arise yesterday. They have existed for a long time.
