【明報專訊】Emmanuel bit his lip. Every now and then his brain was shouting out a thousand different possibilities to start a conversation. But he restrained himself. He knew it wasn't quite the most appropriate time to plunge into an exuberant discussion with Abigail-not when parents from both sides, and his own grandparents, were having a positive, though perhaps not the most engaging, discussion. He just couldn't afford to let them know yet. Although Emmanuel and Abigail had been writing letters for months and, after all these weeks of praying, he was finally meeting her in person, he didn't want anybody to know of his secret admiration just yet.
