【明報專訊】TWO government lots were up for auction yesterday. The government has put them up because medium and small flats are in short supply. Developers vigorously bid for the one in Luen Wo Hui, Fanling. Market participants had expected it to fetch between $348 million and $410 million. It was sold for $459 million, or $3,029 a square foot. The other is at Lin Shing Road, Chai Wan. Market participants had expected it to go for between $620 million and $930 million. No developers bid for it. They were silent though the auctioneer repeatedly invited bids. It was therefore withdrawn.
