【明報專訊】August in the UK is known as "Silly Season" for the newspapers. It means that while the government is on recess, and much of the population is on holiday, the newspapers have fewer national stories to report. Recently, while the horrific, ongoing Pakistan floods rightly dominated international news, our biggest story at home was of a lady who was caught on camera putting a cat in a bin.
