【明報專訊】THE Broadcasting Authority has ruled that the Commercial Radio programme Night Rider 18 (sponsored by the DAB (the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong) and an appeal recorded by Emily Lau to citizens to join a march to be of a political nature. Few disagree with the rulings. However, while political parties are forbidden to run advertisements, it is permissible for the government to advertise on TV and the radio as it did during its "Act Now" campaign. There is a double standard. "The magistrates are free to burn down houses, while the common people are forbidden even to light lamps."
