【明報專訊】YESTERDAY fifteen mainland intellectuals including writers, academics and lawyers jointly published online an Internet Human Rights Declaration to call on the authorities to respect citizens' freedom to express their views on the Internet. The Declaration contains few new ideas and is quite conventional. However, as the mainland authorities strictly control the Internet, it takes great courage to publish such a document. We hope the authorities will not oppress the signatories of the Declaration. We hope they will respect netizens' freedom of expression and turn it into what may boost the country's development.
