【明報專訊】The poetry of E. E. Cummings (often written by others as e. e. cummings, 1894-1962) strikes one as strange on the first readings. Its spelling, grammar and syntax (語法) all seem to be designed to surprise the readers, and when he makes pictures by arranging words and lines in his poetry (called "concrete poetry"), the effect can be quite startling (令人吃驚).
