【明報專訊】AT a consultative meeting some Mui Wo residents vehemently objected to Christian Zheng Sheng College's plan to move into their district. The affair has aroused much concern and discussion. Many sympathise with the Zheng Sheng students who were taunted at the meeting. It remains to be seen whether the school will move to Mui Wo and help more youngsters who have gone astray. However, the affair tells us that, though the government has said it is determined to win the war against drug abuse, it has ignored the functions which schools like Zheng Sheng fulfil in making policies for helping youngsters to return to society.
