【明報專訊】A REGISTER OF MEMBERS' INTERESTS SYSTEM is absent in many of the government's newly established or restructured advisory structures, including the Advisory Committee on the Northern Metropolis (hereafter the ACNM). The authorities have explained that these advisory committees are not tasked with the approval of funding, so a Register of Members' Interests has not been established. Members only need to declare their interests at the committee meeting. However, since the minutes of these meetings are not made public, the public has no way of knowing the contents of these declarations.
