【明報專訊】SOME UNIVERSITIES in Mainland China have prohibited students from organising group tours during the Labour Day holiday. Some have banned students from hanging curtains over their beds in dormitories. These instructions have caused a certain degree of controversy. When universities employ such a heavy-handed approach and treat university students as primary school students, it is the Ministry of Education that needs to discharge its responsibilities and impose higher requirements on university administrators. This way, we can expect better practice rather than such inconsiderateness.
