What is worrying is that Guangdong's growth rate has lagged behind the national average for over two years in a row. Guangdong's economic size is one-tenth that of China, and its total foreign trade volume accounts for one-fifth of the country's total. If Guangdong's economic growth continues to slow, it will have even more significant repercussions for the entire nation.
