【明報專訊】PREMIER OF STATE COUNCIL LI QIANG has delivered his first government work report. This year's economic growth target is set at around 5%, and the government will focus on expanding domestic demand and accelerating the development of ''new quality productive forces''. The state is promoting high-quality development as well as economic upgrading and transformation. It is inevitable for it to encounter various sorts of challenges and pains. Considering also the complications of the external environment and the intense rivalry among international powers, it will indeed be a challenging task to achieve an economic growth of 5%. But certainly the authorities would not have set such an ambitious target if they lacked the confidence.
