【明報專訊】THE CANTON FAIR came to an end on 4th November, which was closely followed by the China International Import Expo (CIIE) held between the 5th and 10th of the month. As an event in the East has given way to one in the West, it can be seen that the export-led one-way model of the Canton Fair is in gradual decline, while the CIIE held in Shanghai not only featured import and export, but also was an integrated platform for exhibition, finance and technology. The CIIE has become a global "party", as it were, for international trade.
