【明報專訊】OVER A WEEK after a severe rainstorm that broke all the records, the focus is now on the unauthorised structures at Redhill Peninsula and the clean-up of the areas hit by the storm. Public opinion has not been forgiving of the delays in the drainage system construction projects and their failure to function in some areas. The SAR government has promised to speed up the matter and make adjustments to the original priority of construction projects. Citizens hope that they will not see the same thing happen again — or hear the same excuses from the government — when the next severe rainstorm strikes.
