With the massive relaxation of anti-epidemic measures, the numbers of new severe cases and deaths have also risen significantly recently. A Hospital Authority (HA) analysis reveals that many of these patients have already received three doses of the vaccine. Since the antibodies brought about by vaccination decline over time, it is necessary for the authorities to step up their publicity campaigns to remind the elderly and those in need to get the booster shots in a timely fashion so as to strengthen Hong Kong's barrier against severe cases.
