【明報專訊】Hong Kong has an ageing population and is facing a silver tsunami, with its elderly services exceedingly failing to meet demand in terms of hard and soft infrastructure. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the challenge of meeting the elderly's medical care need. As the capacity of public hospitals is limited, if bold reform of the healthcare system is not carried out in time to strengthen the preventive treatment of disease, there will simply be no way to cope with future needs.
