【明報專訊】Hong Kong has seen another shocking case of child abuse. A five-year-old boy was found in a coma in a subdivided flat. He was emaciated, with bruises covering his body up and down and his face black and blue. He was sent to hospital and died subsequently, and his mother was charged with murder. Preliminary investigations show that the victim was often absent from online classes before his death, and there were social workers following up on the case of the family in question. It is thought that the child abuse lasted many months. The fact that no one intervened in time to stop the abuse is distressing.
