Half the World Away : Summer in London
文章日期:2022年6月20日

【明報專訊】"Shall I compare thee to a summer's day," writes Shakespeare in his most famous sonnet. No one can truly understand the analogy until he or she witnesses summer in Britain first-hand, which is charming and poetic. Under a bright, cerulean sky, the radiant sunlight is a meticulously mixed cocktail, bright enough to bring out the vibrant colours of all the things it touches — the emerald green of trees and bleached white of walls — and turn them into the ingredients of a crisp wallpaper on a super HD computer screen, but not so hot as to turn the air into an enshrouding, inescapable blanket of heat. The air remains cool and fresh, so walking stays pleasant and refreshing.
