【明報專訊】After news broke of yet another mass shooting incident in the US, this time in a primary school in Uvalde, Texas, I felt like struggling to come up with a "proper" emotional response. Of course, as a father I felt the grief of those losing their loved ones, especially when Angel Garza, whose daughter died in the shooting, cried "How do you look at this girl and shoot her?" to an equally emotional Anderson Cooper. But it would be disingenuous to deny a feeling of compassion fatigue, for shootings like this have happened way too often.
