【明報專訊】You may wonder legitimately what legacy is left by Ben Affleck's Batman after the unspectacular performance of Zack Snyder's Justice League (2017, reportedly cinematically much inferior to the director's cut in 2021) in which our caped crusader looks unceremoniously overweighted and uncharacteristically runs for shelter behind Wonder Woman's Amazonian shield. Of course you may harbour such a wonder only if you remember Ben Affleck's pointy-ear incarnation in the first place. You're forgiven if you don't. Indeed not every Bat fan loves to remember Val Kilmer's Batman Forever (1995, seemingly an unintended self-mockery title!) or even George Clooney in his nipple-revealing Batsuit.
