【明報專訊】I'm very late to the party, but it will be almost atrocious if the Culture Express skips the ''Fricatives'' station of Eric Yip's creation. Initially I was worried that the poem would reinforce cultural assumptions of Hong Kong — the topics of diaspora and ESL are not new—but in Yip's cocktail of cryptic double entendres, burdening survivor's guilt and queerness, the thick layer of paradoxes leaves a bittersweet aftertaste.
