【明報專訊】The number of people infected with COVID-19 in the fifth wave of the pandemic has long exceeded the level where accurate calculation is possible. Recently, the Chief Executive and some experts have all claimed that since the number of infected people is higher than the official figure, the actual death rate should be different from that announced by the government. Some experts argue that the death rate of COVID is only slightly higher than that of influenza. The Hospital Authority (HA) has even stated that analysis shows that 30% to 40% of COVID patients died of causes that were not directly related to the virus.
