【明報專訊】The government has announced new measures for the creation of a barrier against the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to adjusting the strategy for preventing imported cases (with a new scheme that divides overseas regions into high-, medium- and low-risk areas), it will also require all government employees, Hospital Authority employees, workers at nursing homes and secondary and primary school teachers and staff to be vaccinated against COVID-19. If they fail to get vaccinated, they will have to get regular virus tests with their own money. Only those who cannot get vaccinated because of special reasons concerning their health can be exempted, and they will receive subsidies on the tests.
