Editorial : Unreasonable demands of civil servant groups

【明報專訊】Under the pandemic, Hong Kong's many industries are withering, and the government now runs a fiscal deficit of over $300 billion. Financial Secretary Paul Chan says that there is a need to increase revenue and reduce expenditure. However, some civil servant groups have presented some very "unique" views on revitalising the economy, demanding that civil servants be offered extra salaries tax concessions in next month's budget.
