【明報專訊】The government has further tightened its anti-pandemic measures, with the reinstatement of drastic measures such as a ban on evening dine-in services. It is unlikely for such measures to be relaxed before the winter solstice. A virus does not "take a vacation". Given the severity of the fourth wave of infections, the social distancing measures must be complied with no matter how tough they are. It is a risky thing to do to celebrate the winter solstice or Christmas at home with others, not to mention doing so outdoors. Citizens should put pandemic prevention first, even though it might feel bad to reconcile themselves to the drastic measures.
