【明報專訊】Hong Kong is caught up in a winter of COVID-19. As the government has drastically tightened social distancing measures, the proposed travel bubble between Singapore and Hong Kong has failed to launch. The tourist, hotel and catering industries are in agony, while a brisk trade and turnaround in the Christmas peak season have now become impossible. Snippets of news of layoffs, on the other hand, have come one after another. Furthermore, the many irregularities that have been exposed recently show that some people have not taken the fight against the pandemic seriously and have neglected civic-mindedness. Harsh punishments for violations of anti-pandemic laws are now necessary.
