【明報專訊】About three months after its outbreak in China, the coronavirus has found its way to all continents of the world, taking over headlines of all major media. At the time of writing, from Korea and Japan to the US, the virus has left over 98,000 victims infected and more than 3,280 dead. Governments, though initially lukewarm (冷淡的), began to acknowledge the gravity (嚴重性) of the issue and ramp up efforts (加大力度) in border controls, pandemic prevention, quarantine facilities and more. The global public has also made prompt responses to the situation. Major tourist sites now resemble haunted grounds with barely any traces of human activities.
