【明報專訊】THE IMPACT of the novel pneumonia epidemic on the economy is beginning to surface. The Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for February, the latest figure, has fallen to 35.7%, foretelling a poor economic outlook. As of now factories have resumed operation and production across the country with the exception of Hubei. Corporations are facing pressure originating from funds and labour, and they have to keep their guard up against the epidemic at the same time. When a confirmed case arises, the corporation has to suspend operation immediately.
