Editorial : A return to "peace, rationality and non‑violence"
文章日期:2019年8月16日

【明報專訊】THE VIOLENT INCIDENT that happened at Hong Kong International Airport on Tuesday night has had wide repercussions in society. Some citizens who have taken part in anti‑amendment rallies at the airport say that the radical protesters' action was excessive, since they surrounded and beat others. Pan‑democratic lawmakers have also called the violence at the airport on Tuesday a mistake, calling on protesters to "stop and think". Hong Kong is a civilised society. Vigilantism is unacceptable in any shape or form. All sectors of society should say "no" to violence loud and clear, not mincing words or prevaricating. No problem can be solved by violence. Society should return to the path of "peace, rationality and non‑violence" and disown violent action.
