【明報專訊】THE GOVERNMENT has proposed the amendment of the Fugitive Offenders Ordinance so as to allow the transfer of criminals at large to places like mainland China and Taiwan on a one-off basis. The business sector has voiced opposition to the proposal, demanding that either white-collar crimes be excluded from the amendment or the legislation be enacted in phases so that violent crimes are handled first and white-collar crimes later.
