【明報專訊】IN a reshuffle of the MTR's management, Rex Auyeung has been appointed the company's chairman of the board of directors, while the post of chief executive has been given to former operations and mainland business managing director Jacob Kam. As the MTR has been beset by a string of serious incidents and the scandals over the Shatin-Central link have dealt a heavy blow to public confidence in the company, the problems with its governance have to be addressed urgently. A change of personnel is just the first step. What is even more important is a change of corporate culture and the strengthening of internal supervision.
