A Little English : Pigs can't fly
文章日期:2019年1月25日

【明報專訊】Mama Pig was worried as she watched over her litter of piglets. They were growing fast and she was finding it harder and harder to get enough food for them all. Wild pigs have been living in this patch of woodland in the south for generations and have always been able to forage for a living — until now. In the past few years, the humans have been building more and more houses, cutting down trees, making roads and encroaching on the animals' dwindling territory. If they were birds, they could fly further off to get scraps from the city streets, but pigs can't fly. What's more, the noise of people and cars frightened them so they kept safe by hiding deeper in the woods.
