Study Abroad﹕Applying to the US from the UK system (2)
文章日期:2019年1月16日

【明報專訊】US applications are a serious undertaking, as I have realised. Firstly you have to prepare for the SAT and/or the ACT. They are the two most common standardised tests used for American college applications. Both test English, Math, Reading with multiple-choice questions, with an optional essay question at the end, and last for three to four hours in total. They're slightly different in format but I won't go into great detail here. Good news is that you can take these tests multiple times and only report your best scores! In addition, you have to make a separate application to every university, which means your personal statement for each one will be different. You also have to ask your teachers and tutors to write references for you. I am quite fortunate in that SAT and ACT tutoring, alongside other support, is available at no extra charge at my school, so I know what I am doing.
