【明報專訊】Both of my parents spent a significant part of their childhood growing up in Hong Kong. Although I was born in the United States and grew up in Phoenix, AZ, I have been visiting friends and family in Hong Kong since the early 1980s. My assignment to the US Consulate General marks the first time I've lived here since I spent the summer of 1997 studying Chinese at CUHK. As a career diplomat who has lived all over the world, serving in Hong Kong was a dream assignment for me. My family and I have enjoyed all of the incredible things Hong Kong has to offer. From the country parks and hiking trails to the amazing cultural events, not to mention the food and shopping. Hong Kong is veritably a global city.
