By making public her support for land reclamation from the sea, Carrie Lam, the Chief Executive, has been accused of "conducting a fake consultation exercise". However, to increase land supply massively in the long run, land reclamation from the sea, without which Hong Kong would not have developed in such a way over the past few decades, is undeniably the most effective approach.
