【明報專訊】To be fussy is to be very exact ( 嚴 格 的 ) or overly concerned ( 太 過 操 心 的 ). When a person is described as being (as) fussy as a hen (with one chick) they are being overly fussy. That is, they are being very particular or very concerned. "Henriette's fussy as a hen about keeping her house neat and clean." "Make sure your paper has no errors. The teacher is as fussy as a hen with one chick and won't tolerate ( 容 忍 ) any mistakes!"
