Pop Around Town : The not so big philosophy

【明報專訊】While tiny homes are the norm in Hong Kong, they are part of a movement urging people to live more simply and less wastefully in other places. Mainly in the US (but also in Spain, Britain, and Japan), the "tiny house movement" has been around for more than a decade. The financial crisis of 2007-08 fueled the growth of the movement, since thousands of people who lost their homes due to foreclosure or unemployment found tiny houses a viable option for living. Another reason has to do with survival of families after major natural disasters, such as hurricanes that destroy a large area.
