【明報專訊】Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, having garnered four Golden Globes awards and the People's Choice Award at Toronto International Film Festival, is a masterpiece not to be missed. By now, many film buffs probably have the idea that it tells the story of a noble mother who seeks justice by renting three billboards outside Ebbing, her small town, to press the police to find the rapist and murderer who has taken her teenager daughter's life. It is natural that viewers expect to see how incidents of tracking down the criminal(s) are woven into the story. However, this is not quite the agenda of Martin McDonagh, the director and writer of the film.
