My travel buddy on a Grand Italian train tour happened to be a super fan of the modern classic The Godfather. Beside gladiators and the Colosseum, Italy, or Sicily in particular, was solidly associated with mafias in her imagination. It took me some promising negotiation skills to get her visiting Catania, the second largest city of Sicily, with me.
