【明報專訊】The weather was bad and the harvest（收成）was poor. A long drought was followed by heavy rain and floods. The farmers worked hard to save their crops but there was little they could do against the forces of nature. There was nothing left to eat and even the fieldmice fled to town to seek refuge with their cousins.
