【明報專訊】SINCE Hong Kong's handover twenty years ago, the implementation of "One country, two systems" has been successful to a certain extent. The city has managed to maintain its stability and prosperity. However, due to several administrative problems, the city's development has shown signs of falling behind in all aspects. As for the relationship between Hong Kong and the central government, conflicts have deepened owing to disagreements over Hong Kong's democratic development. A handful of people are even advocating Hong Kong's self-determination and independence, which threatens the relationship between the central government and Hong Kong.
