Homes and Hope : Repairing a dilapidated home

【明報專訊】Hong Kong has approximately 970,000 people living in poverty. Of those who are poor, one in three is elderly. A few weeks ago, I visited two of them: 70-year-old Grandma Ng and her husband, who live in public housing, with cash assistance from the government as their only form of income. A group of volunteers and I spent the day scraping and then painting the walls and ceiling of their flat in Lei Muk Shue Estate in Kwai Chung.
