The City Wanderer : Move, people!
文章日期:2016年8月8日

【明報專訊】Rio de Janeiro (里約熱內盧) being a 25-hour flight away and 11 hours behind in time, it is easy for us to feel a little indifferent to the Olympic Games, at which thirty-seven Hong Kong athletes are participating. Not that Hong Kong people are particularly active to start with. A study from the Health Department has shown that more than half of our citizens do not exercise regularly, meaning that they conduct less than ten minutes of medium to strenuous exercise per week. If you consider the fact that even stair-walking falls into this category, the physical inertia in our city is rather worrying. Not incomprehensible though - the limited living space discourages spontaneous exercising, leaving regular office workers little intuitive choice other than going to the gym, which doesn't sound fun at all.
