【明報專訊】Local university student unions (學生會) often publish weekly or monthly newspapers and rarely have we heard (很少聽到) that they are being forced out of print (關門). However, the story of The Cambridge Student (TCS), a weekly newspaper published by the students' union of Cambridge University (I was a student there some time ago), is a different story. In May 2016 the students' union cut funding (縮減經費) to the newspaper sharply, which means practically (基本上) killing the print newspaper. The following is an editorial (社論) in The Cambridge Student, objecting to the huge slump in funding.
