【明報專訊】Although I've always been convinced by vegetarianism for ethical reasons, I almost never muster enough courage to explain my views to others. After all, meat is considered by many a necessity and a delicacy. To suggest quitting it for health benefits is hard enough, let alone implying that our unmediated carnivorous cravings encourage the inhumane practices within the food production industry. And to be honest, for all my good intentions, I hadn't been able to stick to a vegetarian diet, mostly for convenience's sake. If anything, I feel both guilty and conflicted over the issue of vegetarianism, which makes me a weak defender of its cause.
