【明報專訊】By now, meditation (冥想) has become fairly popular, especially among over-stressed urban people. A survey conducted by a meditation and yoga Internet portal based in the US shows that 18% of the respondents meditate one to two times a week, 20% of them practise it three to four times a week, and up to 35% of them do it seven times or more. Meditation and breathwork have many benefits: reducing stress and anxiety, developing more kindness, and improving one's overall sense of well-being. While we all know about these advantages, many of us, however, report that meditation is a little hard. This is precisely because urban life is full of distractions, interruptions and diversions.
