【明報專訊】每次在電視看到某一些官員或議員，我便想起這句英語口語：A bad penny always turns up. 意思是不受歡迎的人又來了！一聽到那些似是而非的論點或是睜着眼說的瞎話，不其然就怒不可遏，暗罵 Go to the dickens! The dickens是 the Devil的委婉語（euphemism），與大文豪狄更斯（Charles Dickens）無關，是出自莎翁（Shakespeare）的Merry Wives of Windsor (Act III, Scene II) : "I cannot tell what the dickens his name is."
