【明報專訊】Of the many attributes commonly associated with Hong Kong, "romantic" is not one. Many people would blame this on their stressful living environment, or perhaps the necessity to overwork, which makes maintaining a relationship a Sisyphean (徒勞的) task. A bigger problem, I feel, is the monotony of life that kills interesting interaction between people, hence the potential of developing any romantic relationship. We become complacent in the same job, hanging out with the same group of friends and turning up on similar occasions where people behave in expected manners. When none of these finds us Mr or Ms Right, we lament, and live on.
